With the absurd number of unique and memorable experiences created in Taiwan, I'm sometimes in disbelief that I have only been in the country for a few years. Born in San Francisco, I moved to Taiwan in 2019, shortly before Covid-19 started. Originally, the trip was supposed to be short, with a goal of exposing my brother and me to a traditional, Asian culture while we waited for our kitchen remodel project in the Bay Area to be completed.

However, Covid-19 started a few months after we landed, we immediately knew we had to change our plans. Fortunately, Taiwan did a relatively good job handling Covid-19 so we never had to do homeschooling through Zoom and classes remained uninterrupted. More importantly, our intentions of a brief trip to Taiwan dramatically changed. Now, as I look back, it's hard to believe I have been living abroad with my family in Taiwan for 6 years.

While we still spend our summers in California, I wanted to create a website to capture the essence of why this turn of events that made me stay in Taiwan has turned out to be a blessing-in-disguise. Living in taiwan made me open to travel to new places not just in Taiwan but across the world. On this website, I wish to highlight the many adventures I have embarked on the past 6 years! My hope is to attract more families to try more impromptu adventures and explore their curiosities.
